The Sofa is one of the bigger builds in the collection. A full oil drum gets cut open lengthwise to become the body, welded steel legs lift it off the ground, and upholstered cushions turn it into something you actually want to sit on.

It pairs with the Armchair, Coffee Table, and Lounge Set to build out a full corner — same drum, same finish, same feel.

Difficulty: Intermediate — Welding required.

Time: Around 15–20 hours total. Most builders spread it over two weekends.

Tools needed: Angle grinder, MIG welder, drill, paint gear (brush, roller, or spray can), sandpaper, screwdriver.

Skills used: Cutting metal with an angle grinder, MIG welding, drilling, painting, mounting upholstered cushions.

Build phases:
- Mark and cut the oil drum to shape the sofa body
- Weld the steel legs to the underside of the drum
- Grind, sand, and prep all welded joints
- Clean and paint the drum and legs
- Mount the backrest cushion in place
- Mount the seat cushion and final adjustments
