- General Information
This website and the products sold on it are operated by GarageDesign ("we", "us", "our"), registered in Finland.
By accessing this website or purchasing any product from GarageDesign, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
- Products
GarageDesign sells three types of products:
- Building Guides (digital) — downloadable PDF building guides.
- Material Kits (physical) — kits containing the components needed to build a project. The oil barrel itself is not included; the customer sources it separately.
- Finished Furniture (physical) — handcrafted, made-to-order oil barrel furniture and decorative items.
Product-specific terms apply as outlined below.
- Building Guides (Digital Products)
Digital products are delivered electronically after successful payment.
- No physical shipment is involved.
- You are responsible for ensuring your device supports PDF files.
License & Use
Digital products are licensed for personal use only. You may not:
- Share, resell, redistribute, or upload the files
- Use the guides for mass production or commercial resale
- Modify and sell the content as your own
All digital content remains the intellectual property of GarageDesign.
- Material Kits (Physical Products)
Material Kits contain the parts and components required to build the relevant project.
- The oil barrel is not included. The customer is responsible for sourcing a suitable barrel separately.
- The customer is responsible for preparing the barrel safely before building (see Section 10).
- Kits are supplied as standard components and may contain minor variations in finish or dimensions due to the handmade nature of metal products.
- Finished Furniture (Physical Products)
- Finished Furniture is handcrafted and made to order.
- Each item is built after the order is placed and may be produced to the finish or specification selected by the customer.
- Measurements and finishes may vary slightly due to the nature of handmade metal products.
- Product photos are for reference; minor visual differences are not considered defects.
- Orders & Payments
- All prices are shown in the selected currency.
- Applicable VAT or sales tax is calculated automatically at checkout.
- Orders are confirmed once payment is successfully completed.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders in cases of pricing errors, stock issues, or suspected misuse.
- Shipping & Delivery (Physical Products)
This section applies to Material Kits and Finished Furniture.
- Shipping costs and delivery times are displayed at checkout.
- Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed.
- GarageDesign is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, or force majeure events.
International customers are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes required by their country.
- Returns & Refunds
Building Guides (Digital)
Due to the nature of digital products, all digital sales are final. No refunds are offered once the product has been downloaded or accessed, except where required by mandatory law.
Material Kits
- Consumers within the EU have a 14-day right of withdrawal for unused Material Kits.
- Returned kits must be unused, complete, and in their original condition and packaging.
- The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective.
Finished Furniture
- Finished Furniture is made to order and produced to the customer's specifications.
- Under EU consumer law, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to made-to-order or personalised goods.
- This does not affect your rights in the case of a damaged or defective item (see Section 9).
- Damaged or Defective Items
If a physical product (Material Kit or Finished Furniture) arrives damaged or defective:
- Contact us within 7 days of delivery
- Provide photos of the damage and the packaging
We will assess the situation and offer a replacement, repair, or refund where appropriate.
- Safety & Liability Disclaimer
Our products and guides involve tools, materials, metal, and physical activity.
- You are responsible for using tools and products safely.
- You are responsible for sourcing and preparing your own oil barrel. Never cut or grind a barrel that has contained flammable materials such as fuel or solvents. Barrels must be thoroughly cleaned before any cutting or grinding.
- GarageDesign is not liable for injuries, damages, or losses resulting from improper use, or from the sourcing, preparation, or building process.
- Always follow the safety instructions in the guide and local regulations.
Use of all products and guides is at your own risk.
- Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including product designs, images, text, diagrams, and branding — is the exclusive intellectual property of GarageDesign and may not be copied or used without permission.
- Accuracy of Information
We strive to provide accurate descriptions, measurements, and instructions. However, errors may occur, and GarageDesign does not guarantee absolute accuracy in all cases.
- Privacy
Personal data is handled according to our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or misuse customer information.
- Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
