GarageDesign is a Finnish workshop and DIY brand focused on making industrial-style furniture building accessible to everyone. All products are designed in my garage and can be built in yours.

The mission is simple: make DIY building easier, clearer, and more achievable for anyone — even if you’ve never built anything before.

GarageDesign was founded by a 20-year-old maker from Finland who noticed something interesting in garages and workshops everywhere: used oil barrels taking up space with no real purpose. Instead of seeing waste, GarageDesign saw potential — strong steel, great shapes, and the perfect base for functional furniture.

What started as experimenting in a garage turned into a system for transforming oil barrels into practical, good-looking furniture that people can actually build themselves.

Material Kits

DIY kits that include the key pre-cut parts needed for the project. You still get the satisfaction of building it yourself, but without the hardest preparation steps.

Finished Furniture

Fully handcrafted pieces built in Finland. Designed and made by GarageDesign for those who love the look but prefer a ready-made product.

Built by One Maker

GarageDesign is not a large factory.

It is a one-person company run by a 20-year-old Finnish maker, and every piece of furniture is designed, tested, and handcrafted by the same person.

This means every product comes directly from real workshop experience — not from theory, but from building, testing, and improving the designs in an actual garage.
