The Cabinet is one of the more useful builds in the collection. A full oil drum becomes the body, a door cut into the side opens on hinges, and three round wooden shelves divide the inside into proper storage. A wooden top finishes it off and turns it into a side table. Wheels underneath mean you can roll it across the workshop instead of carrying it.

Difficulty: Intermediate — a few weekends.

Tools needed: Angle grinder, drill, paint gear (brush, roller, or spray can), sandpaper, screwdriver, measuring tape.

Skills used: Cutting metal with an angle grinder, precise marking and measuring, drilling, mounting hinges and hardware, painting.

Build phases:
- Mark and cut the door opening in the oil drum
- Clean, prep, and paint the drum exterior and interior
- Sand and finish the wooden top and shelves
- Mount the interior shelves at the right heights
- Attach the hinges, handle, and latch to the door
- Mount the wooden top
- Attach the caster wheels to the base
