The Armchair is one of the quickest builds in the collection. A full oil drum becomes the body, the backrest is cut to shape using the template, and an internal frame keeps everything solid. Add a padded seat and you've got a proper chair that takes up no more floor than the drum it came from. Pairs with the Coffee Table, Infinity Table, or Sofa to build out a full corner.

Difficulty: Easy — a weekend project. Light welding required for the internal frame.

Budget estimate: Around €80-120 total — kit, drum, and paint.

Time: Around 8–12 hours total. Most builders finish it in a weekend.

Tools needed: MIG welder, angle grinder (flap disc and cutting disc), sandpaper, paint gear (brush, roller, or spray can).

Skills used: Tracing and cutting metal with an angle grinder, light MIG welding, upholstery assembly, painting.

Build phases:

- Sand the drum and prep the surface
- Trace the backrest shape using the template
- Cut the backrest with an angle grinder
- Clean and deburr all cut edges
- Weld the internal support frame
- Paint the drum and frame
- Assemble the padded seat — plywood, foam, and leather
- Apply the edge guard stripe and mount the seat

Whether you build it yourself or order it finished, the work behind it is the same. Every cut, weld, and finish is done by hand. The backrest has to flow clean and the seat has to sit level — and that's where the craft is.
